When going to the grocery store, one gluten free shopping tip that you should employ is to enjoy your day out. Gluten Free Grain Questions

Does anyone know of a gluten free cereal/granola recipe that does not use any grains?

I’m allergic to all grains and am looking for any ideas of what I could use to make cereal or granola for breakfast.

The word “cereal” means grains, and Granola, by definition is made with grains.

So no – there would be no way to duplicate cereal or granola not using any grain at all.

Are you sure you are not just Gluten Intolerant (Celiac disease) and not allergic to all grains? If you were allergic to all grains the only carbohydrate you could consume would be from fruits and vegetables. I’ve heard of it happening but it is rare.

Assuming you are Celiac – there are many gluten-free cereals available in the Nutrition section of larger grocery stores. Also check out www.celiac.com they are a great resource for people who cannot eat gluten. They have a huge page of gluten free cereal and granola at: http://www.celiac.com/catalog/index.php?cPath=37 and you can order right from there site. Or write the names down and see if your local grocery or natural foods store can order them.

Best of luck

I want to stop eating grains and go gluten-free, but I LOVE oatmeal?

Can I still eat oatmeal if I buy slow-cooking steal cut oats?

Oatmeal is considered gluten free. Gluten is from wheat and barley. Go right ahead and eat your oatmeal.
